Orchid House – an air source heat pump
The Orchid House is a historically important building, within the curtilage of a Grade II Listed Building, and is owned by National Trust’s Malham Tarn estate.
The building has been refurbished for educational use with the assistance of a grant from the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority’ Sustainable Development Fund.
An air source heat pump was installed to service the building, the interpretative panel explains how the pump works and the environmental benefits it will bring.
